At IFA 2026 DJI unveiled the second generation of its ROMO robot vacuums: 36,000 Pa suction, legs for thresholds up to 8.5 cm, millimetre-level obstacle recognition and an offline privacy mode.

At IFA 2026 in Berlin (4–8 September) DJI presented ROMO 2, the second generation of its robot vacuums. The series includes two models: the flagship ROMO P2 with a transparent base station and the ROMO A2. The series won an IFA Innovation Award 2026. Sales in Europe started on 3 September.
Key specs
- Up to 36,000 Pa of suction for carpets and deep cleaning.
- Robotic legs: the vacuum steps over a single threshold up to 4 cm and a double step up to 8.5 cm.
- A LiDAR-guided mop arm swings through 123° and reaches 7.8 cm further than the previous generation — cleaner edges and under furniture.
- Obstacle recognition is built on DJI drone technology and detects cables and small objects with millimetre precision.
- Noise reduced by up to 85%, DualSweep brushes resist hair tangling.
- The base station washes and dries the mops with hot water (up to 80 °C).
- Robot size: 351 × 351 × 98 mm.
Privacy
From Q4 2026 a Local Data Mode will turn off internet access, cameras and microphone, and users can delete their data from DJI servers.
Prices
In Europe the ROMO P2 costs €1,299 and the ROMO A2 €1,199, with launch discounts.
